Description
The Schneider Electric 9700A is a high-performance electromagnetic flow tube designed for precision flow measurement of electrically conductive liquids in demanding industrial process environments. Using the Faraday principle of electromagnetic induction, the 9700A reliably measures volume flow by detecting the voltage induced as a conductive fluid passes through a magnetic field within the fully welded flow tube. Built with robust construction, a full-bore design, and a wide range of liner and electrode material options—including PFA, PTFE, ETFE, Hastelloy, and other corrosion-resistant alloys—this instrument delivers exceptional durability and resistance to corrosive, abrasive, and high-solids media.
Available in nominal sizes from DN10 (3/8″) up to DN2000 (80″), the 9700A can be paired with compatible magnetic flow transmitters such as the IMT30A, IMT31A, or IMT33A to provide accurate and stable flow measurement outputs for process control and monitoring systems. Optional configurations include various flange standards (EN 1092-1, ASME B16.5, JIS), hazardous-area approvals, and IP66/67/68 protection classes for reliable operation in harsh or flooded installations. With no moving parts and extensive diagnostic capabilities, the Schneider Electric 9700A supports long service life, low maintenance, and consistent performance across chemical processing, water and wastewater, mining, oil and gas, paper and pulp, and other industrial sectors.
